Follett Digital Resources Sponsors Congress on the Future of Content

Follett Digital Resources Announces Sponsorship of May’s
Congress on the Future of Content in Washington, D.C.

McHenry, IL, April 30, 2008 – Follett Digital Resources, the single source for digital solutions for publishers and educators to help them meet the unique needs of 21st century learners, today announced its platinum-level sponsorship of The Congress on the Future of Content, to be held May 8-9, 2008, in Washington, D.C.

The upcoming event at Washington’s Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center “is aimed at improving access to high-quality content for teachers and students,” according to Wendy LaDuke, president and group publisher of the Education Group of 1105 Media, publishers of T.H.E. Journal and sponsorship coordinator for the event. “Follett Digital Resources’ Platinum sponsorship is helping bring together leaders from throughout the educational publishing industry – print, digital and combined – to examine and create the future of content in education. We are grateful for this strong support from a long-time leader in the field.”

During the event, Follett Digital Resources’ Chief Operating Officer Michael Johnson will add insight and lead discussions. Topics will include participants’ vision for content, how content should be delivered over the next five years and what are current barriers to successfully implementing that vision.

“We are pleased to be sponsoring and participating in this vital forum because energizing the educational experience are parallel goals of both The Congress on the Future of Content and Follett Digital Resources,” Johnson says. “Technology plays an ever-growing role in the lives of today’s students and it’s being introduced earlier than ever. The digital age is no longer viewed as something to occur tomorrow. It’s a way of life both inside and outside the classroom. Embracing technology early is critically important for every student.”
